My full term baby! 3.5 kg, I was very proud of myself.

Lara was a tiny 2.64 kg baby 4 week early. I was glad I made it full term.

When Emmeline was born, all her features were huge! She had a big nose, full lips, big cheeks and eyes, very very different to Lara when Lara was born.

But she was beautiful in her own way.

The Labour

The contraction started at 4am and contracting every 6 min. I thought it was great! I was going to have Emmeline very soon, much shorter than my labour with Lara which was 26 hours. I was excited, I packed my bags, Emmeline's bag and Lara's bag and it was only 7:30am. We had breakfast and looking forward to have this baby during DAY time. Lara went with my mum around 9am and that is when things started to slow down. The contraction became every 8to10 min apart which is not looking good. Reed and I went out for a long walk and nothing improved, infact, it stopped at 12:30pm. I was EMOTIONAL. I was in tears.... WHAT WAS GOING ON!! I had my husband taking a day off work, my mum took a day off work, my bags were packed, and the contractions just stopped. I was crying non stop and slept. Reed and I decided that if we were not going to have the baby at least we have to go see the new Batman movie, the Dark Knight. We both had been looking forward to it. So we went! However, my contractions started again at 5pm just about 1 hour before the movie, I was a little worried and put all the bags in the car with us just in case.

I was enjoying the movie and timing the contractions at the same time, it was getting intense and close. I was struggling the last 30 min of the movie and we raced to the hospital. We arrived at 9:15pm waited for the midwife and have all the check up done and checked into the labour room around 10:15pm. I jumped on the bed and started using gas..... within 45 min, I was already pushing..... and Emmeline Grace Clark was born at 11:14pm. We were only in the hospital for less than 2 hours..... She was beautiful and healthy. We were very happy and I was glad that the pain was over....

Brushing teeth - 11th July

Well, like food, Lara is pretty moody when it comes with brushing teeth. Sometimes she absolutely hates brushing teeth, it is like the most horrible thing on earth, like asking Reed to eat lobster I guess. And there are times we brushes her teeth for 10 minutes at the time, even brush her baby's teeth!

Our 3rd year anniversary - 9th July

The 9th was our anniversary, we actually went out to dinner the week before thinking the baby is going to come early... well, we celebrated again at home!!! I cooked a beautiful lamb shank (leg) dinner, Jamie Oliver's recipe of course! It was..... YUMMY. It doesn't look so great in the dim lights but it is so mouth watering. We loved it. I even decorated the room with candles and Reed got me flowers.... I am definately the flower girl =)

Swinging at home - 7th July 2008

Lara loves swinging.... even in freezing cold weather.... yuk. We didn't want her to be sick swinging outside at night so we tried it at home!

Toy r us is the best! - 5th July

This is our trip to toy r us, we went and got Lara her first toddler kitchen and some 'food' to play and cook with. We just cannot help and play in the baby 4 wheel drives. They are so much fun, even have an accelerator that goes real quick. She is loving all the cars and bikes. Reed is real proud.
Look at Lara, all pinked out with her pink stroller, pink bag, pink baby and pink drink bottle. She looks like a mini me with my accessories!

Stroll at the shopping centre - 4th July

Lara loved driving like his daddy, we havn't seen this car before. She was in it for awhile.

Give me a rest which is good!

We were at the Karingal shopping centre having a stroll, taking her baby in the stroller for a walk. She enjoyed a lot of attention from people at the mall. It was very cute.

Baby stroller - 3rd July

I got Lara a new baby stroller today and she LOVES it. She took her baby for walks in the house all day. I should have got it earlier!

Seanna and Dales' visit and yogurt day - 30th June

Seanna came to visit us with Dale! Only took them 30min on Eastlink! It was great to have them spend some time together

Lara is doing so well feeding herself! My favorite thing this week is watching her feed herself tubs of yogurt. It goes everywhere of course but it is so cute to watch her face all yogurty,

Costume Lara - 23rd June

Lara tried on the elf suit, she didn't quite like it because it is just too big for her.

It was funny to watch.


This turtle suit is soooo cute. We borrowed from the Toy Library of course, I loved it so much, look at the hat! We made a mistake getting Lara to wear it after nap and she was a bit too fraguile for it.
