Hawaii: 30th November - 12th December 2007

Aloha! We are finally here in Honolulu Hawaii. It has been an interesting journey, our first family holiday with Lara. We were very blessed that Lara slept the whole way there, yeah! We didn't do much on our first day, we walked around town and settled in our hotel and had an early night. I have to say, I have never seen that many Japanese people in my life! As soon as we arrived, it was just amazing, it is such an relaxing place, everyone is happy and the Hawaiians were just lovely.

Day 2: We spent the day at the Polynesian Cultural Centre. It was an amazingly huge place. It was a lot of fun. Our tour guide was "2" (His name is "2"), he was a student from BYU and working as a tour guide to pay off his school fees. We had a very busy day, tour guide 2 get us to every show in all 6 tribes and we still had heaps of things we didn't get to see! We also had a chance to see the Hawaiian temple, which was a blessing. It was really beautiful.

Day 3: Bike parade; More and more Hummers in Hawaii! Reed was happy to see them

Day 5-6: We arrive at Kauai, this is our first stop at one of the islands. We are on a 7 day cruise to 5 different locations. The cruise is the best way to travel, people make our beds and people cook for you, people perform for you every night. This is great!

Day 7: Arrived at Hilo, very wet, we went to a Hawaii plantation, my goodness, it was not tropical paradise I will tell ya! But we had a great time on the cruise! We watched movies, enjoying 5 star fine dinning experiences.

Fine dinning is very run for Lara, she looked like a cow boy baby every night.

Day 8: Arrive at Kaui, we went to one of the biggest shopping centre. We picked up the Hawaiian state flower on the way walking there. Doesn't it look cute on Lara?

Day 12: Pearl harbor, it was truly amazing to be at such a place, to know what had happened and just being there is amazing. We have visited many sites and read the stories of lost ships and souls. It brings comfort to me that we are so safe and hopefully it will never happen again.
